  The Hilton Cartagena Hotel was host to the 41st annual International Sea Turtle Symposium. They greeted us with an amazing display of lights.       Steve in front of the welcome banner inside the Hilton in a rare quiet moment before the official start of the symposium.

  The whole ProTECTOR, Inc. team gathered for dinner the first night of the conference before heading to the social.   Dr. Diego Amorocho opening the conference.
   
  Dr. Diego Amorocho opened an incredibly interesting panel on technology and how new advancements can be incorporated into sea turtle research, chaired by Dr. Jeff Seminoff.   The SWOT team (from L to R: Rod Mast, Ashleigh Bandimere, Andrew DiMatteo, Brian Hutchinson, Christine Madden-Hof), Steve, Thanida Haetrakul,  and Nantarika Chansue, with the recently published special issue on hawksbills. The whole team is making plans for the next SWOT!

   Student Robert Gammariello got a very nice surprise while at the conference: he was this year's recipient of the Boyd Lyon Memorial Scholarship!
